The mysterious magical mythical carbon fibre bellypan

#1 Post by Nooj » Wed Feb 07, 2007 10:24 am

THIS GUY HERE on e-bay is doing some Aprilia stuff already and says he will look into doing a Falco bellypan. If you all go and hassle him, he may see that it'll be worth his while doing it and make it happen.

If he decides it's worth it, does anyone have something he can make a mould from? The one I leant out that nothing came of (not to this guy, someone else) came back in a shitty condition so probably won't be suitable.

I've recently bought a c/f Mille front mudguard from this guy for £60 - not much more than half the price of the majority of them. I was expecting something cheap and cheerful but the c/f is thick, strong and well lacquered - a quality piece of kit, highly recommended.

I would be interested in a belly pan if he can sort one out.

I'll see about lending him my Skidmarx one then.

I've given a tentative "yes" to the Pikfee group buy, but to be honest I'd rather go with this one. Put me down for one, if they're coming about :smt023

I'd be interested in a carbon belly pan, depending on cost of course :smt003
Am I correct in thinking his RSV mudguards will fit the Falco?

Mudguard fits beautifully. Make sure you order the one for the early RSV - I think that he also does one for the more recent model, which is different.

I am pretty sure that those parts will not fit the Falco. Definately the hugger wont as the mounting points on the swingarm are totally different.

Hugger is defo for the banana arm, will not fit the standard arm.

ok - as there is no discount for a pifkee group buy, how much are these likely to come in at?

Nooj - are you up for this? I am happy to help in any way that I can but I don't have a bellypan I'm afraid.

No idea on the price as I won't be making them. WR as you're nearer than me, if I send my 'pan up, once the initial one is made maybe you could ride over and make sure it fits a real bike??
