Was just browsing some Aprilia sites and I noticed that in with such modern exotica as the RSV4, Maxmoto are listing the Falco as currently for sale ... so maybe there are a few left.

Yes I saw that recently and tried to open the pdf brochure but it's a dead link. I would bet that it's most likely that Maxmoto are well out of touch than they have one to sell. They are just about the most unimpressive dealer I have come across

Has anybody used Maxmoto for servicing? They are my local dealer and have been fine when I`ve needed small items eg spare key blank, oil filter. Their website seems full of glowing reports of their sevicing skills, but then they could have written them!
As for new Sl1000`s I think Mangocrazy prolly got the last one. The faster Bronze ones sold out yonks ago

Chap I know still had the original orulia stamped plugs in his mille after several services when he had been billed for new plugs each time...
Use Carl Harris in harleston instead. Cheaper and better.in my opinion.

I wasn't posting up saying they were great value (mine was £1300 less in 2005) .... though the Maxmoto info does quote that as MRP - so what you'd pay would probably be different.

I was only saying that just, maybe, one still exists waiting to be bought ... If someone would care to contact Maxmoto, I'm sure we can confirm.

Yeah but mine was brand new with 2 miles on the clock

He was the foreman of a well known ducati dealers in the norwich area - he left to go solo when they started to take the piss with their approach to servicing charges

He has raced a lot of bikes and is an all round nice guy

I bought my falco off him - and when i went to collect it, he had not done the service - as in it was not finished - I asked if i could watch him at work and he agreed - and i was impressed with his work etc

he also seems to know what parts are interchangeable from all sorts of bikes

give him a call and have a chat

be warbned the workshop looks small from the outside - but when you get in you are very likely to see some exotica....

Thanks for the heads up on that when the time comes I`ll contact him.Competance is far more important than a swish workshop, with corresponding prices.

Ducati and Norwich, probably Chris Clarkes at Wymondham. he went bust a number of years ago due to cash flow, or lack of from the Ducati finance he was using to sell the bikes.
He has, or did have, a job now sweeping the floor next door in his brothers (Bob Clarke) bike shop next door.

That's a very old picture they're using, the bike has the pre-Falco production red calipers.
