ok
you need to take photos of your injuries
you need to see your own GP
you need to make a statement -even if just for your records
you need to inform the police
you need to inform your insurance company that there was an incident - note that word - incident - not accident
hope you feel better soon

As it happens, i've just got back from hospital. I've also broken my scaphoid
Whats really anoying is that i also broke wrist last year on my kawasaki. Been out of plaster 5 months. And now i've bloody broken it again and back in plaster (Not by bike this time)
(Whats really annoying is that i've got a big box of bits to make a falcono, and one hand)
Hope you feel better soon, I feel for ya mate

OK .... we've got the Aprilia section, Honda section, Kawasaki section etc
..... what we need is a new sub-forum for crocks that have been put out of action for a while.
I really can't remember a time when we've had so many injuries all together.
With a current membership of at least Tommy, ibicker and me, we already outnumber the Tuonos, Futuras and RSVs ...................
Best wishes for a speedy recovery .... keep taking the pain killers.

Yep - was knocked off my son's 125 the weekend before last. 4 broken ribs and a bruised lung (as well as the obligatory bruised legs and grazed knees .... and the perfect outline of my phone imprinted on my thigh).
Details here if you are feeling bored:

Glad your not very badly hurt my friend! it's always difficult to comment without sounding like a preacher but my own experience tells me to never presume anything on the road you have to assume everyone is an idiot!
safty/ stability/ view and ask yourself can i stop in the distance i can see to be clear!
You where no doubt in some shock and probably a little embarrassed but you really should have stayed at the scene and called the police!
Without driver details wittinesses and so on you are unlikely to get anywhere
but if you do have any evidence give this guy a call

I once had a very embarrassing accident going a little quicker than I should have been. I misjudged or didn't see a road junction

and despite having many years experience and practice in crash braking locked up my brake long enough to loose it and high side. Smashed my arm and my bike but lived to tell the tail I will never make that mistake again though.

Sorry to hear about your story. Mend well.
I had a very similar off about 3 years ago, kind lady wrote my SV off. The difference was that she parked a few hundred yards away from the scene (still not seeing me). Luckily, she gave me her details - she was probably in shock seeing me finally? Later, of course, she denied even being there.
It took me 2 years of fighting with her (with a great help of Rider Support, RSS - google them) to get my compensation. She never admitted being there. Wrist still hurts.

Thats crazy. Do you know if the driver was aware you bailed? thats very frustrating and it would make me mad if someone just drove off like that.
