So after completing the 2-into-1 exhaust mod with a Mivv can and fitting an open air box i expected there to be 115bhp or maybe even 120bhp. Well she came in at a whopping 109bhp
Its not a very smooth graph either. The advise was that the baffled can is choking the bike and almost voiding the effect of the open airbox and that I could get a smoother line and more bhp if I removed the baffle. I can't really afford to do this though for fear of my neighbours. The bike is already very loud.

I tell you, I love the 2-into-1 look and feel. I know its all in my mind but I swear the bike feels more "flickable" now and to my eye it really makes the bike look sleeker and sportier. But everyone to their own

Sorry Andy and Stytiz, but I'm with Fausto, the Falco was designed to have a 2 into 2 system, thats what makes it different.
As for mid range? I've got enough with mine as it is, thanks.

..... so when will you be reverting to the pair of cans it was designed to run with then Howard?
Not a true 2into 2 anyway - the Falco's exhaust mid section joins the two exhaust flows together ..... and also, the motor was originally designed for the mille with a 2into2.
I'm not knocking the 2into2 but the 2into1 is equally valid and, personally, I think it improves the looks - especially giving a better view of the mille swingarm.
That's another of the good things about these bikes - it's so hard to find 2 alike.
Who is going to be first with a 2 into 4 conversion? - I can per plug!

That sounds about right....109 at the wheel. Add another 10% and you get the same as the rest of us. The dyno machine you are on is measuring at the wheel and giving you true figures whereas the dynojet program adds the losses to the final figure. This is only hearsay i must add. It was in a thread on the AF1 forum. I will look for it and post it up for you

Different to what? There are many bikes with 2 into 2. Twins and IL4s. 2 into 1 is definately valid for any bike and valid for the Falco.
Its really down to personal preference, same as the swingarm debate I guess.
The Falco is a blank canvas.. you have to love these bikes

fairly certain, and cannot be arsed to go to shed and check, but think my falco exhaust section, even though it looks as if the pipes are joined, are actually separate pipes...

BOLLOX
I'll dig out the photos to show it. The pipes not only run together, there is no wall between them!
Easy way to prove it for those still running the twin-pipe system:
With your engine running block one exhaust - you'll find it still runs and all the exhaust comes out of the other can.
Then, to double check, try it the other way round.

Nope - I've got photos - just got to find time to dig them out. I'm 100% certain anyway.
