Anyone got any tips for seating the new seals.
I cant get the seals to sit far enough to get the spring clip in.

This is often a problem. Firstly can you check the thickness of the new ones against the old? Are they the same?

You've got them the right way up?

I would try placing the old seal on top og the new one and drifting that as opposed to hitting directly onto the new seal.

Not done this on my Falco yet but it works on other bikes.

Once you are sure that they are the correct seals and they are sitting properly get yourself a short piece of plastic waste pipe and slit it down the side. You can then stretch this round the fork stanchion to use as a type of slide hammer and tap them into position.

works like a charm and as it's plastic it won't damage anything. Damn sight cheaper than the proper tool as well.

thanks for the ideas, the plastic pipe sounds like a good one.
I ended up taking the fork to a garage, who used the correct tool to seat the seal in about 2 seconds !!

everythings easy with the right tools :-)
