Southern UK Falco meet: last weekend in March

#1 Post by Nooj » Tue Mar 17, 2009 7:39 pm

The Museum of Army Flying cafe at Middle Wallop, Hants. seems to have been decided for the venue and the last weekend in March as the vague time, but which day? Sat 28th or Sun 29th? And what time of day? They shut at 16:30 it says on the website.

Just added a poll for this - obviously the decision on which date may be based on more factors than numbers alone - but hope it helps to see which is most popular.

Might just make it myself to this .... maybe ....

Oooh, that's clever! I've added a few more details as well.

Are you going to post this up on "the other forum" too?

Might get a few of them to join in the fun on both forums if they join in the meet-up

Is the idea to meet up and ride or meet up and visit the museum?

Have a coffee or tea in the cafe, check out each others' bikes, have a chat, whatever really. I can do a rideout if you like.

having secretly booked the week end off for annual leave, some one who shall remain nameless but does eggy farts in the marital bed found out i was off - and booked herself in to work

am not amused as it means i have taken two days of annual leave so someone else can work.....

sorry :(

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

One can only assume that the alleged deliverer of eggy odours discovered you refitting the pillion facilities to your falco for said trip to the southern counties ......

Has your plan to make it to the club aprilia day been thwarted yet?

and told him i would tell his wife about his new gixxer if she ended up working.....

(he bought it two months ago but swapped his bikes over so it was hidden in the garage till he sold the old one....)

am still thinking of heading over on the friday night....

i talked it up

was on a late shift this afternoon and the admin person said nothing to me all day - after begging me tio change my shift on sunday... ie mothers day...

BUT

she left a note on my desk as she left off work to say my weekend off for the 23/24 may has to be cancelled as some one else now wants the weekend off to get married or some such bollocks

I was working with the girl this evening - she is not happy as i have said no - tough titty - work had approved it, and I am not changing it

I expect that I will be called into work to explain why the silly slapper spent all evening crying

(And I will stick to my principles on this - they fucked up, they can get some one else to cover the shifts - I am not!)

Well im definately up for it. Maybe those coming from Surrey/Kent/Sussex can meet up somewhere and ride through together? Maybe Box Hill for those in the area and at a services along the way for those further away?
