The best £25.40 I ever spent on EBAY for a second hand side stand inc. postage from america, what a difference.

How did you go about cutting off the extra lug.

Been meaning to do mine for months.

£25.40?? Absolutely cracking bargain!

FP, a hacksaw will cut the lug off, it's not as tough as it looks. Then grind it or file it down so it's tidy.

That is a good price.

Did you cut the lug or grind the frame? I did the unthinkable and took an angle grinder to my frame and then primed and painted over it. Looks good though... like it came from the factory that way even if I say so myself.

But you may want to disconnect the 'sidestand down = lights on' switch before you have starting issues :smt020

Lucky you... :smt019

One question, your headlights... you've got the switch mod done right? Or is it something different?

Used a grinder to chop off all the excess from the extra lug, I was too scared to touch the frame!!!

As for the lights, they are standard, the bike was ticking over when I took the pictures. Thinking about buying the switch cluster to allow me to turn them off when I want to though.

I mean, it looks like dipped and main beam are on at the same time(?), because that's what the light mod is about...

What do you mean by:
Thinking about buying the switch cluster to allow me to turn them off when I want to though.
Do you not have a switch on the LHS to do exactly that?

Nope, I dont have control over my headlights, they are on all the time. The headlight was on but the crap camera makes it look as if the high beams are on, the switchgear is exactly as I bought it brand new in '05.

ah... ok... :smt017

I was confused because I have an '04 and my headlight switch looks like the one on your AF1 link.

EDIT:
WOW!! Indicator switch in the normal place!!! Must resist.....

EDIT #2

Mine arrived yesterday, already fitted.
To be honest, I maybe hoped for a wee bit more lean angle...
However, my lock up is on a bit of a slope, was allways shi****g my pants, for the past few days I had to roll the bike down to level ground...
Not today... all is fine now :) :smt004
