Falco oil level check

Just got my Falco - 20k miles, but still looks excellent and runs beautifiully. I just have one problem - what is the oil level. I have read many threads on this subject, but I am struggling to see whether my bike is already full or empty! I cannot see any oil in the tube - so it must be either very low or very full. I dont seem to have excessive smoke so I assume no oil in the airbox. The tube seems to be a cloudy, blue'ish hue.
Does anyone have a photo of the tube on a Falco that has a correct oil level - I am just not sure how transparent the tube is.

You'll see the oil clearly if it's in the tube. It needs to be checked with the engine off, but at operating temperature, with the bike upright on a level surface. Full is about two thirds of the way up the tube. Pain in the arse, but it can be done by one person.

This is open to debate but as far as I'm concerned you need to take the bike for about a 10 mile run then check the level

That's basically what Aprilia tells you to do - or to leave it idling until it's properly warmed up.
You'll find it explained on page 55 of the user manual.

Hi and welcome.
I agree with the others.
Take it for a run. Park up. switch off and immediately check for a level in the tube (with the bike level of course)

The first thing I like to do with used bike is change oil & filter, measure the new oil (will she lend you a measuring jug from the kitchen?) and memorise the level.

I had exactly the same issue when I bought mine. I couldn't see the oil level - the tube was just blue. Then I drained about half a pint out of the bike and all was revealed - there was too much in it. The blue is the oil - the pipe is clear when empty.
