THE DUKE'S PASS

I had a wash out at the weekend in Callander and nearly got snowed in on Sunday but on Friday I had a ride over the Duke's Pass from Aberfoyle to Callendar. The last time I rode the pass I was a snotty on a 125 twin I had forgotten what a great road it was, It has a combination of some of the tightest turns I have ever seen and some great straight all in stunning countryside. There was virtually no one on the road and so I had a great run, the sound of the Falso growling through the pass sent sheep and hikers running!
If you are coming up to Scotland you need to add the Duke's Pass to your journey its definitely one of the must ride roads up here.

Tis a great road indeed but the only thing that concerns me, sheep aside, is the amount of 'wash-off' that ends up on the carriageway after rainfall (quite a frequent occurence) it can be like riding on marbles sometimes.

yeah it would have been me about 12:10pm red falco I had a high viz vest on and a silver helmet. Were you on a bike?
The water is a problem that's why I didn't bother even trying to ride it Saturday when the rain was so heavy

About 4mph, unless you shake pepper onto it's bum, then it goes a bit faster.
