Another more unusual accolade for the Falco in the MCN this week.
It's in the Modern Classics Section (page 43).

Evidently they have now decided it is a Future Classic
and garranteed to be worth a mint in years to come.

Short section which is just a rehash of all the good things they have said in the past and is a "Rocking value all rounder with a sporting edge".
"Great, understated sports tourer with invigorating engine and classy build. Underated".

Don't suppose we can argue with that!

at this rate im never going to be able to buy one!

Have they actually got round to writing about the Falco without mentioning me?

If you make it on to CoventryBikers I'll know I have my own personal stalker!

(BTW I did have a look on http://www.coventryadvancedriders.co.uk/index.html - Incidentally, which Bikesafe are they involved in? I was out for a drink tonight with a couple of chaps from CovBikers and we were talking about doing Bikesafe with Warwickshire at the end of April - I've been talking of doing Bikesafe for a couple of years and although I started riding 35 years ago, I know you're never too old to brush up skills and learn new things)

I know this is moving slightly OT but, I did the bikesafe course with West Yorks Police and thoroughly enjoyed it and learned quite a bit too. Much like the IAM, the emphasis was on making 'safe progress' and the guys running the course were absolute bike fanatics. There was something peculiarly satisfying about cruising down the M62 at a steady 80 with a police escort! Turning up at Squires with a copper in tow was quite entertaining too.
I was a little concerned about the cans on the bike (you know they're not exactly legally quiet ) but at the end of the ride, the nice pleesman actually wrote on the form "Nice exhausts!".
I'd highly recommend the course to anyone as we can all learn something from other experienced riders. Go for it Andy!

I am hoping to do the norfolk equivalent :)

Bikesafe is a excellent introduction to advanced riding but that is all it is. It does give you extra skills on staying safe out there. IMHO I would do bikesafe to get a flavour of what all this is about then if you want to learn more that do the IAM or RoSPA adavanced riding course.

I chose RoSPA simply because it is a graded award and you retake it every 3 years. You can acheive Bronze, Silver or Gold. With IAM its a pass and you keep it for life so IMHO you can slip back into old habbits. I think we are involved with the Bikesafe anyway. I am doing my observer course in April so I will be able to teach the techniques so looking forward to that. With RoSPA they say silver is the same as a IAM pass but GOLD is the highest civilian grade available on a motorcycle.

Go for the bikesafe, I am sure you will enjoy it and maybe then I will talk you into RoSPA and you never know I may be your Tutor . LOL
