Just got an Aprilia tool kit off fleebay. Should there be a spanner which fits the back wheel axle nuts included?

OK before I moan. I have two spanners a 11/13 and 17 am I missing a bigee for the rear axle?

From memory there are 2 big ring spanners. One does the rear axle nut and the other err.... doesn't.
I think the other one is for fork adjustment or something equally scarey.

Yes the 32mm spanner is there but the one in the toolkit won't help much as that axle nut is torqued up very tight (120Nm) - you'd never get the leverage without a long extension arm.
The tool kit doesn't contain a 28mm for the front axle nut either - best to buy a 28mm and a 32mm socket to use with your socket set's long breaker arm or your torque wrench.
(at least, that's what I did).

Ah but if you only tighten up the axle with this spanner then you will be able to undo it with this spanner later. 120 Nm..... Actually I am joking ( a bit) there. I use the toolkit spanner with the toolkit extension and do it up tight but don't use a torque wrench. Otherwise I'd never get it undone again.
I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS TO ANYONE - just saying how it is for me
If you read this and buy my bike one day then bring a big spanner

With no device to lock the wheel nut (R-clip or split pin etc) - I tend to think it's safest to do it up as tight as Aprilia recommends.
There again if you use the too kit and check it frequently, maybe you'll be OK.
Mine's staying done up tight though ....

Something I've always meant to do is go through my bikes' tool kits an replace everything with decent versions of the tools. Haven't managed it yet.

Torque wrench for me, after spending a shedfull on one I use it as often as possible to bring the costs down(the more you use it the cheaper it is, a bit like digital cameras)
