Difficult Neutral? Hopefully no more!

My Mille/Tuono clutch oil jet turned up today from Aprilia Yorkshire, after ordering it online only yesterday! How's that for service!!
Best of all, for two of you, I ordered two extra ones

So if you have one of the Falcos that doesn't like going into neutral you may be interested in buying one of them off me and saving yourself a bit on postage.
They are £13.72 EACH including VAT and postage from Aprilia Yorkshire, but you can have one of my spares for £10. That way you get a cheaper part and I get some of my postage back, everyone's a winner!

Aprilia fitted a size 75 clutch oil jet to the first V60s, then they reduced this to a 60 (if memory serves from around 2000) then on the new shape RSVRs to a 40.
The understanding is that Aprilia changed this part to make finding neutral a lot easier - that certainly seems to be the feedback from those that have fitted the newer size 40 (which is the one Nooj has got). I guess their first attempt (75 to 60) only improved things a bit ... though I'm guessing that probably came in as a package with the other clutch mods that people mention from about that time (not exactly sure what was changed though).
Might get round to it myself one of these days - though lately I've not had much problem finding neutral.

Well I have the size 40 oil jet and finding neutral can still be a bit of a bugger. As with the Falco (although it wan't and still isn't) it isn't a big issue, I got used to clicking into neutral whilst coming to a stop.
It's very habit forming and once used to it, it becomes second nature, I normally just gently click into neutral as I change down from second. Once stationary and ready to set off again, click into first and voila..........great for the road but useless (I'd imagine) for the track
I've always found that the chain tension has a big bearing on the gearbox performance and especialy finding neutral, If the chain is too slack it magnifies the problem

Be interesting to see what difference if any it makes to my bike as neutral as almost an impossibility from any gear regardless of chain tension

Part number is: AP0268751, Says Jet 40 on the Aprilia Yorkshire site.
Top tip for getting the existing one out, once it's unscrewed push a wooden tooth pick into it and use that to pull it out of the hole.
DO NOT use a tooth pick to put the new jet in, if the end snaps off it'll block the jet.
