Are paint codes available for our bikes? I've heard not, but I live in hope. I'm trying to match the Flamingo Red of the facelift models (2004 > ).
I've posted this query up on Apriliaforum, as well.

No

If anyone will be able to obtain you a code, it'll probably be Southern Cross

Have a look here:
BIKECOLOURS on e-bay. They may not give you the codes, but they will sell you the paint.

Cheers Nooj, I've mailed them. The guy who's doing some painting for me reckons he can match the colours, but it would obviously be easier with the correct codes.

In Italy they don't use paint codes, all vehicles get an approximation which is mixed up by hand, even 2 bikes supposedly the same colour off the same production line but a day or 2 different the colour is different

Hu Mango, just had a panel painted after mt off.
Got the paint from Bikecolours.
Mine is the early Flame red, but the sprayer said depends how much is applied as to the colour match.
Depends how much you want i have some left over.
If you want to give it a try let me know.

Thanks chaps, all your help is much appreciated. However it seems that the later models with the Black frames are not as well served for touch-up paint as the earlier models. Strange really, as these models have been in circulation for over 4 years now.
The Flame Red of the earlier models is a different tint to the Flamingo Red on mine, so I'm afraid I'll have to pass on your kind offer, Falken. And the German Kaemna site is great for the early models, but has nothing for mine...
I'm pretty confident that my paint guy will be able to match the colours. I've left him my seat hump as a colour match, so hopefully it will all work out OK.

Or just buy £50 worth of matt black rattle cans from Halfords.
