Feeling very tempted....

#1 Post by IsleFalco » Mon Jan 26, 2009 4:59 pm

...went into my local dealer this lunchtime as my other half is buying me a set of Arlen Ness leathers for my 50th birthday tomorrow :smt107 and he has a silver/grey 2006 Touno R with 2100 miles on it. Offered me what I paid for the Falco 2 years ago against it. Oh dear. I having these thoughts. What can I do to make them go away?

Good bikes those Tuono things, the Missus has one. Still prefer my Falco though, the only thing the Tuono beats it on for me is top end power.

Do you really need to ask? You know it makes sense.

On a more serious note why don't you take it for a test run Trev? If you like you buy. If not you don't (or summit like that) I think you may be swayed though...The Falco was (is) a great bike but for me the T is better 99% of the time. Only on the motorway do I wish for a bit more protection from the wind...........and to be fair on the Island that ain't gonna be a problem....it could be for your overseas tours though

After a long think about it I have decided to put my temptations to one side. I have a son at university and the reason I am now thinking I can buy this is because I have cut out all my credit and everything I have (vehicle-wise) I own outright. So I have another two years to go before I buy anything else. Anyway, the Falco still pulls my strings.

The trip to the dealers secured me a nice new set of Arlen Ness Leathers. Result!

You can always do some chopping to your old Falco to refresh the affection. Bars up, trim the fairing and you've got half way there for a hundred or two. :smt020

I must admit, I fancy straight bars on mine. Any recommendations as to risers etc?
