I am looking for a Falco pillion/passenger seat to buy. It doesn't matter what kind of state it's in, as I'm going to get it reupholstered with Gel inserts. As the bike is only 200 miles old I don't really want to start ripping apart the one that came with the bike; hence the request.

SWMBO was less than ecstatic with the numb bum she got after a 50-100 mile ride last year and has indicated that it needs to get fixed before next riding season.

Which is fine by me; I never turn down an opportunity to spend money on the bird... (the bike that is....)

Only 200 miles since you got it, you need to get out more Mango, did nearly that much last Saturday, certainly done around 300 in just two rides over the last two weekends! There are some great roads round our way and I only go out on dry winter roads.

Yes I know. I decided to get all the stuff I wanted doing to the bike done during the winter, and for the most part I think it was the right thing. But there have been a couple of days when I've looked enviously out at the dry roads and blue skies...

But I should be getting all the bits back in mid-Feb (forks, shock, swingarm, hugger) so I do intend to be ready for any early spring possibilities.

Oh yes, and now I've come down with what I thought was a dose of man-flu but turns out to be chicken pox...

Was thinking I might get out for a blast this weekend, but they've just announced "Vigilance Orange" or "Vigilance Rouge" for our departments this weekend! So the blast will be of the wind variety!
Oh well, back to the vin rouge instead......

I'm concentrating mainly on getting the suspension the way I want it; I managed to get a mint condition adjustable everything Ohlins shock off eBay for about £220, so am having that serviced and am getting the front forks revalved and resprung. I figured I might as well do it all in one go, and as that has coincided with the sharpest winter for many a year oop north, I don't feel too bad about it.

I'm also doing a bit of bling - I don't really understand why Aprilia gave us a funky looking black frame for the facelift models and then left the swingarm in plain ally. So I'm putting right that design oversight and getting my new (shock protecting) hugger sprayed up to match the red of the tank/tail/mudguard.

There's some other bits and bobs, but it's going nowhere when it's up on stilts and its suspenders are in Buckingham...

Spots are a pain (literally) but at least I get a week off for free without being incapacitated, so there's some upside. Quite agree about the red; I have an excellent bottle of Domaine les Filles du Septembre open at the moment. I really will have to introduce you to them...

What sort of wind speed does a "Vigilance Rouge" translate to? Is there a higher one, or are you in for some real tile-rattling? I'm having nervous thoughts about my recently-finished roof...
