One thing that I hate about the Falco is the stupid horn/indicator switch layout.
What muppet thought this one up :smt013

Every time I indicate, I beep instead!

Browsing on the AF1 website, I see that there is an alternative unit that has the switches in the correct place.
But, bloody hell, $172 for christ's sake. With the current exchange rate and postage, thats about £172 :smt009

Does anyone know if these are available in the UK?

Cheers

Pete

You get used to the indicators given enough time ..... though I never can find the horn button when I want it :smt009

That is a frustration which I still cant quite get used to. I remember in a truck stop by the noisy A3 my mate paddling his bike backwards towards mine without looking behind him and me frantically stabbing for the horn only to hit everything except the horn and uselessly screaming at him. I resorted to kicking him.

On my first Falco I removed the switch block and filed down the little brass pin the locates the block on the bar. I was then able to rotate the switch block to get a better position for the indicators.
Strangley enough I haven't had a problem with my second (same year) Falco.

Wow. You learn something every day. I had no idea there was a remap of the switches. I remember hitting the horn a few times inadvertantly when I first got mine (2001 model) but don't have a problem now . I assume this was because although the layout is 'correct' they were slightly different to the previous bikes :smt017
