I'm still clenching to may La Sproca... There is no feekkkking way we can put in on that van with the rest lot! Arggh!

\\i is a big problem as i discovered that my insurace cover ends at the end of Jaunary, coldest month of Winter . Especially if you are heading towards icy roads of Polognia.

Perhaps someone could keep it for me for winter and then I'd fly here, pick it up and ride home. But is stilll very very cold and icy there.

And then I;d have to made insurance policy longer...but how? I will have already moved from the UK!

Can the bike stand on a drive way not insured if it is not used? And then, when snow thaw I get a fresh insurance from somewhere (probably abroad?) to get it on the road again?

Oh my head....help me guys... with decent ideas...

You can leave it here if you want, there's room in our garage as you've seen :D

You can leave it anywhere OFF the road with no insurance, but if anything happens to it, you'll get nothing back. You will need to register it off road when the tax runs out, or hand the tax disk back to the post office before youu go and get some money back which will be easier for you.

To ride it back next year you will need to insure it over there and make sure you have cover for riding abroad so you can also ride it over here as well. It may be your best bet to do that as soon as you get over there, then La Sporca should be insured while over here waiting for you. If anything happens and you need to make a claim just pretend you were over here with it.

So, if it was me:

1. Find somewhere to store your bike and take it there.

2. Hand your tax disk in at the post office and fill in a SORN form.

3. Tell your current insurer to cancel your cover on the day you leave the UK.

4. Go to Poland.

5. Arrange insurance that will let you ride in other countries (don't tell them your bike is already in another country).

6. Relax knowing that no one can ride your bike about as it has no tax and that if anything happens to it, you are still insured.

Thanks guys for your help! I actually managed to fit the bike into the van! Hope my wife doesn't notice what I had to bin to do that... She should be in the middle of Germany by now. I will let you know how we are doing when I get there.
