Call me obsessive, but those dents in the Falco's LH exhaust pipe are getting on my nerves. I can just about live with the one on top that is presumably there to clear the chain line when the ride height is jacked up. (Is that its purpose and does the chain really get near the pipe?) But the one nowhere near where the sidestand isn't really annoys me. Has anyone had these dents pulled out, cut out and rewelded etc. etc.? If so, pictures will be required.

I guess D-Rider will be along shortly to say that the RSV swinger/exhaust sidesteps these problems neatly...

.... well it does remove the dents at a stroke .... along with a length of excess pipework .......

It's never bothered me enough to even think about it (in fact, it doesn't bother me at all), not entirely sure why it would bother you so much to go to a lot of effort over it?

Mango if you're not taking any pills go and get some, if you already are, up the doseage.

Yes, I was aware I was asking from smart-assery... And I wasn't disappointed!

The reason I ask is because I'm planning on getting the pipes CermaKrome'd , following (I think) Falco9's lead. If I'm going to get that done I might as well get the dents undented if it's not to much of a faff.

At least, that's the way I see it...

I like to think (when I think about them at all which is not very often) that the dents are there for a very good reason. Nothing to do with sidestands etc but as a result of very fine exhaust back-pressure tuning.

Those of you without black 2001 Falcos won't know about this but a lot of work went into balancing up the exhausts bearing in mind the distance of piping with a twin configured thusly.

Yes - I'm enjoying a very pleasant rosé as we speak. Normally a red man, meself, but it went splendidly with the belly pork and roast potatoes...
