Browsing for Falco fairing sidepanels I came upon the following (which doesn't actually have any)
The report reckons:
Forget the Falco, this is the bike Aprilia should have built...

(yes it is there underneath a lot of adverts)
So, do we agree with their view .....

That's just a very bad lash up after a stack.
Looks like it's been thrown together with whatever bits and pieces were at the back of the garage.
Nice use of the hole in the frame to hold the D lock though.

Who are these jokers? As Falcopops says, there's no original thought involved here. It's just an exceedingly mediocre streetfighter.

LOL - No Admin powers here ... just Aprilia Moderator powers - not much more than a range of brushes and sponges to tidy things up when there's a bit of a mess.
I can move things, edit things, delete things and split threads but that's about it .... no dramatic special powers or x-ray spex
..... think of me as the mild-mannered forum janitor .... oh no - he did have special kung-fu powers.
(Myrkk will know who I mean)

I think the idea is sound, but they could have gone a lot further with it and made it look really good. As it is, nah, not for me, there's too many messy bits and the lines don't quite flow right for my liking.

I was wondering what mine would like like without a fairing and with a plain round light.... that's saved me some time.
No idea how deep I'd be scraping the barrel before I started wondering about a back end like that though.
While we never thought much of the Aprilia SL1000 Falco,....
that'll be why they bothered with this one then.

Braced myself for another look.
The worst bit is probably the tail unit - just looks so "wrong" - even moreso with the bottom rail of the rear subframe showing (including all the bits attached to it). It just doesn't fit - a bit like a teenager with a growth-spurt whose trousers end half-way up his shins.
The tail lights look like something grabbed from the bargain bin at an autojumble
Not keen on the pipes ... although they do have something of a 1970s Ducati about them - just don't seem to work here.
I think the stripped down look accentuates the different angles of the frame rails to the standard swingarm. The standard Falco just about gets away with it but that aesthetic line from headstock to rear wheel spindle is not there. A Mille arm would help.
But overall, I think it's the proportions that are so wrong. The Falco is a tall bike so with the cut-back tail and lack of fairing out the front, it just doesn't look long enough for the height.
Guess the thing doesn't handle either - judging from the size of those chicken strips ..... though I can't see what's been done to it to mess that up.
Oh - and if the creator of this bike happens to read this, I'm glad that you've tried to do something a bit different - a lot of us have changed our Falcos - some like the changes, others don't - what matters is that you like it and enjoy riding it.
Even though it's not really my cup of tea, I've seen Falco conversions that make yours appear like a masterpiece (even to my eyes).

One likes the pipes...but the rest of it is shit!
