Went in the car .... and had to wait about an hour to get back to the motorway I suspect! That'll teach you

Indeed it did but it was worth it.
Picnic hamper, comfy chairs and a big umbrella plus loads of warm waterproof clothing is usually the order of the day at Knockhill.
Good day out none the less.

Went in the car too, glad I did, we passed the bike park on the way out, the surface looked apalling plus there were loads of bikes parked on the roadside, I seen at least one mirror broken off a Fireblade lying on the ground next to it. Definently taking the car again next year.

I think I'll stick to the bike, there is nothing I hate more than waiting in lines of biscuit boxes thinking "If I was on the bike ..." The parking wasn't bad I always have a plastic puck under the seat given the Falco's stand reputation. I saw the said fireblade being knocked over, looked like the car driver might have kept going but a spontaneous line of people in leather looking angry assured that he stopped and admitted his sin.

I was there on the Falco - a red and black one parked down near the carlube corner. From down here in Cumbria its a good ride up to knockhill via the A701 - one of my favourite bits of tarmac - so I was prepared to risk a soaking (which I got). Good day out and good racing but the parking is a bit c**p. Last year picked up some gravel in the front caliper and had to ride home on just the back brake (had just put new disks on and wasn't going to risk scoring them). Suprisingly easy really but it was pissing down then as well - must be a common feature of Scottish weather.

If you were riding two up, it was you I spotted. The bike looked in such great nick I had a hunt for it later but couldn't see it. Strangely I ended up parked next to a Futura. The weather was crap as was the parking, you must have come up past where we live if you came up the A701, great road, its my evening entertainment of choice

It probably was us- I had the wife on the back. The bike is in good nick - it had had one lady owner and only 4.5k mls on the clock when I bought it last year and I haven't managed to spoil it yet
