Hello all. Just taking the opportunity to introduce myself. Former VFR owner, it came to an end when a BMW 316i didn't see me. Result totalled bike and f***ed shoulder. I was fully comp' pay out day came and I am now the owner of a 2001 SL 1000 in shiny shiny shiny black, 10000 miles. Suits me sir. So I shall badger those in the know with, can I do this, will it do that and the likes, hope you'll help me along the way.
Cheers
Peter

Cheers for the reception, first mod will be to make that beautiful engine sound the way it should and not the way the eurocrats have it sounding, such a big choice of cans out there, I think removable baffle is the way to go but what to choose, what to choose. :smt017

Kwackerz, I was on the old visordown site many moons ago but can't remember if I was Viffer there. :smt004 Man of mystery or poor memory, you choose.

I will be selling mine, drop me a PM if you're interested. If you do the search on them on this forum (Blue Flame) you'll know that they are the dogs. The sound is perfect and tuneable.

Just fitted some Beowulf Warriors on mine, they sound awesome.
The're also nearly the same profile as the frame tubes.
For me they are the perfect can for the Falco.
All stainless construction and lifetime guarantee. £350 a pair
If I knew how i'd post some photos, but i'm limited with puters.

Welcome !

2001 model ... so first question is what mods have been done already?

1st mod has to be sidestand
2nd has to be rear shock

after that do things in any order that suit you.

I have Leo Vince cans on mine, thought they were too loud at first but love the noise now and look brilliant. Will post some pics as soon as my paddock stand arrives.
