Hi all,
lovely day out today. nice 160 mile route through Snowdon, past kiwiboy corner (as it's now known ) down to Barmouth and home.
After pulling into the petrol station on exactly 160 miles I stuck in 15.75 litres.
That means the bike returned 46.18 mpg or 8.75 miles/£
quite pleased at that.

...I expect a photo of the corner labeled appropriately... something like "K1w1boy corner - her beauteous blue hide layeth down here to arise but never the same again" - in Welsh too cuz yiz fellas do that up there, eh bro!

Mate, it's broken, surely.

I couldn't manage that mileage even if I pushed it half way.

'Tis true though that I don't do three figures often but would rather sit about 80ish down the straights and maintain it thru the bends. That's where the fun is.

I think the new Quill pipes and having the throttle bodies balanced after the fuel starvation issue may have helped.
I was only getting 42 mpg before

Been thinking I ought to take you up on that...

Really enjoyed the trip out we had last summer, some great roads you took me and Falken down - managed to (accidentally) find a few of them again on a solo run out. Don't think I'd have got 160 miles out of a tank going round there though!

If you think the Falco can be poor on fuel, you ought to try the Tuono!!!

I'm running on Map 2 with cored cans, 15t front sprocket and a race air filter and I got .............wait for it..........69 miles to the warning light at this years TT.

This works out at approx 24 mpg

However this was on an early morning "brisk" (ahem) lap or 2

Worth every penny though

I know this MPG thing is all a bit boring and I've never really bothered before, but I did about 130 miles last night. Down from my home on west side of Sheffield, to Newark, then up to Gainsborough and out the Willingham Woods then back again through Gainsborough and Retford.
Had a little play with a matching pair of ZXR750s between Newark and Gainsborough before waving em good bye. Then had a play with a group of SIX Caterhams out for a fun run all the way between Gainsborough and Market Rasen, kept letting catch up and just pulled away again just using the torque. Roads were empty, and not drivin it too hard, but did put a 123 on the VMax.
Had started with a full tank so decided to tank it again when I got home to see what it did -
44.4 mpg, well surprised.
Was strange at Willingham, got there and the was just one car and me the only bike, go there tonight and the will be hundreds of bikes!

I got 57.9 mpg out of my Tiger the other day , it was mostly motorway and averaged 63 mph over 4 hours

Nah, the fun is maintaining it through the bends AND doing three figures down the straights

I've never been to Willingham Woods but have heard so much about it that I would now go out of my way to avoid the area just coz I'm a contrary bastard.
