Midday tomorrow the Falco gets put though it's first MoT (it was actually due November 1st last year, but I'd SORNed it just after we moved on the 5th Nov). So I get to find out how many of my mods are actually legal and 'safe' (I've been riding round on it for the last three years and not died). Hopefully It should all be road worthy.
It now has:
A rear reflector
A MASSIVE number plate with the dealer's postcode on it
Working indicators all round
Baffles in the exhaust
A UK headlight
Errr, everything else as well.
The only potential problems I can think of are the reservoires, though I was told as long as the guy could see the fluid levels, they'd pass. Also a bit of pitting on the front disks where the pads rusted on after being stood following a wet ride last year and the head bearings are due for replacement at the next service, but I'm only expecting an advisory about that.

Its an MOT fest! Mine was today 11am.... and she passed!

I've got a green piece of paper that says my bike is safe to ride Better get to work and put the slightly smaller yet lethally dangerous illegal number plate back on and remove the anti-engine explosion/nuclear meltdown baffles from the exhaust. Ooooh, dangerous!

Oh yeah, needs taxing as well

yep mine was due for it's first on the 15th hav'nt got round to it yet. headlights my only worry.

got the Honda done on Friday, no problems. They used a new roller brake tester just like a car but with only one roller. shows up differential brake effiency front/back and if discs are warped also head bearings. a very clever bit of kit. for the past 30 years its always been the winch and spring balence on the wall jobbie. progress i suppose, but its pretty trick. I wonder what will happen when I put the old A10 on it with its elliptical drums slapping the shoes every now an again, they were all like that mister
