Went to Willingham last night.
Met a man on a Falco, well man and his wife actually.
Hundreds of bikes and actually saw another Falco, and it was another of the fast black ones and a 2001 as well.
When I got over the shock, noticed it had a Hagon rear shock. Had a chat to the bloke and he is very pleased with it. Bought for budget reasons when he decided to junk the old blue. Couldn't afford a new Ohlins or find a decent second hand one one ebay and hadn't seen a decent White spring on eBay, so went for the Hagon at around £220.
He finds it a big improvement over the original and is well pleased.
Finds it especially good for two up riding is he is often out with the wife.

Could be Ben? (Don't know his board name.) Or am I getting confused with the venue, where is it?

Don't think it will have been Ben - he bought my Mille white spring.

Willingham is North Lincs just near Cadwell Nooj.

No it wasn't Ben, I know him, not seen him or his bike for some time, assumed he'd got rid of the Falco.
Really more a comment about the Hagon shock, as there had been some queries about these lately and nobody here had actually used one. General thoughts were a bit negative, but this bloke was certainly happy with his.

That's the one Andy, but he ain't posted since last October and I haven't seen him at Willingham since early last summer, although we could have just missed each other.

I was at willingham too howard, (red falc')...did see a black one also but never noticed the shocker...but I didn't stay long and headed off to another little known bike nite at south leverton.

it's a small gathering (50+) of classic, obscure and droolworthy stuff ...last nite for instance there was from my falco to gsxr's to guzzi lemans mk1, ducati 350 single's gs1000, triton's bsa's sunbeams ,,,a really good mix of bikes from 1930s to date etc etc.
nice little country pub and good company

I think it's on every three weeks ...next time it's on i'll post here ...well worth a visit.

Saw a few Tuono's, but forgot what colour yours is, the Black Falco with the Hagon shock was on the right hand side of the main layby, mine was out in the big overspill park on the right.
South Leverton sounds interesting. might give it a try. I was out at Willingham with my oldest biking mate, he started at 16 on a Tiger Cub and then moved on to a Matchless 350 Single. My first few bikes were a Velocette 350 MAC, BSA 500 Star Twin and the ealiest love of my life, a Matchless 650 G12CSR, so we might end up drooling for hours if we go!

I used to have a 650ss Norton a couple of years ago H ...and my mate has a Matchy G12 CSR in bits, he'll never do anything with it but won't sell it

I have fond memories of a Matchless over 40 years ago as well.

Bet the bits don't include a crankshaft in one piece!
I broke two in mine, as they were not properly hardened. Was really stuffed the second time as I couldn't get a new one anywhere.
You don't know what parallel twin engine vibration is until you have a crank let go at almost a ton. They break on the middle journal, fortunately they can't move too much at first, but just enough for the crank throws to hit the crankcases, without going through them.
Started the think about sticking a Bonnie engine in, but they were like rocking horse poo at the time, as they were all going in to Tritons. Any you could get were often expensive old nails.I Then saw an early press release for the new Matchless G15 CSR, 750 Norton Atlas engine in the G12CSR Frame.
Thinks ..... can I do that?
Anyway 650 Norton engines were almost going for free as more and more Tritons got built, so you can guess the rest. Fitted the 650 Norton motor into Matchless using home made Duralamin engine plates!
Had mine on the road at about the same time the factory 750s came out.

The motor is in one piece H...but he's one of them blokes that lives on his own and has had bikes all his life from velo KTT's to Scooters ....his "hoard" now contains two Jap 500 speedway bikes / one 500 2 valve Jawa speedway / and the Matchy

He just got rid of a circular saw bench fitted with a commer two stroke diesel motor with supercharger !!!!!....on a feckin sawbench ha ha.

I have a Hagon shocker on my 2000 Falco. Had it on there for about 4 and a half years. Brilliant budget option which i got for the sames reasons as the other bloke.

I do have a yellow mille one now which i still need to fit.

I'm still here (ben that is!) not me as i ain't been to Willingham for a while. Still falcoing about, got back fro the NW200 with a round trip of the whole of Ireland and about 1600 miles without skipping a beat. I did loose a rear subframe bolt (one of the ipper cap heads!!) but the nice people at Kwik fit in Coleraine did me proud.

I can highly recommend a trip to the NW and also a clockwise tour of the Irish coast from Dublin.

Oh yeah and I've got Davshill's white spring rear shock but it now has a black spring
