Anyone know where I can get a mount to attach to the Falco for my old TomTom Go ? The suction mount will attach to the tank, but I dont give it a long life sitting there all the way to Italy this spring. I am going to wire a socket and switch in to charge it while travelling. Got any friendly websites ? Found one that was a little ambiguous and didnt answer my e-mailed questions about suitability so I hesitate to spend cash.

i am serious - the go is not showerproof, let alone waterproof - as you probably already have a suitable bag, that would be the most cost effective olution....

I tie-wrapped my PDA with tomtom (yes yes I know, youve heard this story 100 times on every satnav thread, humor me ) infront of my revcounter.

Waterproofed it by putting it in a re-sealable sandwich bag and connected a cigarette lighter to the fusebox and powered it off that.

A set of £5 noise cancelling headphones with 1 earpiece cut off ( so i could hear the exhaust ) that i kept forgeting about and riving my ear to bits when walking away from bike.

I wouldn't go or the tank bag option - I tried it and found I had to take my eyes off the road for far too long to be safe (yes, I know I should stop to read it but, really, try NOT looking at it when your riding!)

Try RAM mounts and fit the unit as high inside the screen as you can, then it only takes a quick glance to confirm your route.

try looking for a company called telferizer uk he's based in stockport. he does a ram mount that fits in the headstock its a good fit and doesn't look out of place when the sat nav isn't fitted.

Its an old tomtom, no earphone option. Silence is golden

Someone in one of the bike mags, (Bike I think), was asked why the hell did he need a Sat Nav on a bike, when he only normally used it for fun. Came back with a good answer - "So every time I pass a really nice road goin off somewhere I don't know, I can just go there then keep riding absolutely anywhere just enjoying myself til totally feckin lost and not have to worry. When done, just switch on Sat Nav and plot for home. He was surprised by how many new great roads he found.
Don't sound a bad idea to me, but then again don't have a Sat Nav!
