Of braided steel hose fittings for the falco - brakes and clutch please :)

(I had a wander through HEL's website and they list the falco as having either two or three front brake lines -

S : (3F/1R) Three Front Lines As Standard / Single Rear

F : (2F/1R) Two Full Length Front (Both run from Master Cylinder) / Single Rear

O : (2F/1R) Two Front (One Over Fender / Mudguard) / Single Rear

Stock Falco has three front lines, but I found the old braded lines from my Fazer fitted almost perfectly with my Varobars, so mine has two front lines now. Both set-ups work, it depends on which you like the look of and which is the most practical for your choice of bars really.

S: (Like the stock lines) will have one line from a single banjo bolt on your master cylinder down to your bottom yoke area, there it will go into a bit of pipe from which two lines will come out, one going to each caliper.

F: From a double banjo bolt on your master cylinder you will have two lines, they will go one each straight to a caliper.

O: You will have one line from a single banjo bolt on your master cylinder down to one caliper, another line will go from this caliper over the top of your mudguard to the other caliper. Looks naff IMO.

I looked into the options once and was pursuaded that the 2 long lines option (Option F) was the best overall. I can't remember why now but it was I believe supposed to be easier to bleed, higher performing and possibly lighter too.

There, that's almost helpful isn't it ?

I've been told in the past that two lines provides better braking performance than 3 lines. I've always gone this route when upgrading to braided hoses and have never been less than impressed. How much this is down to only having two hoses or the advantage gained from having two lines I don't know I have to admit.

Please don't go for any other colour.....other than perhaps, silver.

as I am about to lose my coloured cans and going for straight silver coloured cans..... the lines will be either black or silver.. I think silver will win :)

Why not have them colour coded to the bikes plastics?

that would be black then.....

and as a relief i think the silver will be better... will play in photoshop to decide i think

.... and we all know how important it is to get some relief from the black ones!

(but not as much as from the yellow ones )

I just thgt that some relief on the black, with a hint of black, under the black screen may give you poor folks with a slow colour some clue as to what is about to over take you

(And I have to be honest - has taken me some time to work out exactly what that colour match is for the Yellow Falcos... it is the colour of Clotridium Difficile poo.....)

I think I may have just been crossed off some xmas card lists....

Whilst I would avoid obvious colours I am tempted by the Titanium or Gunmetal finish lines.

Black or silver...? How about the dark smoke/tinted ones? Or is that Goodrich? Anyway, you MUST go for the titanium banjo bolts!!
