Hi Everyone

Just to bring this thread back to the surface if I may..

Been for my MOT and failed. Dip is kicking to the wrong side and I've checked the diagram..and yes I've a Euro version.

(It actually passed the MOT LAST YEAR!)

Anyway I'm going to tape the bugger up as suggested by the friendly "chap" in the MOT centre (which in Northern Ireland are inexplicably Govt owned). Any suggestion how I do this without affecting the strength of the dip beam. How much tape is needed and what does it look like???

Any help appreciated!!

B

I imagine you just need to remove the 'kick' from the right end of the beam. How about you point the bike at a wall at night and switch the light to dip beam. Then use a piece of card or similar and experiment moving it around until you can see it has cut out the kick and you have a totally flat cut off.

If you are careful it shouldn't affect the light quality that much and you could always remove it after the test ?

Hi

I've just purchased a headlight unit that turns out to be an EU one from Pro Motorcycle Salvage, i've returned the unit to them with a letter asking for a refund but they have refused delivery of the returned unit back to them, I'm getting fobbed off from the people in the office, luckily i paid by credit card so has anyone else been in the same boat and claimed from the credit card company under section 75 of the Credit Consumer Act 1974

I've read the Headlamp' thread in the Falco section so feel i have a case under the 'not fit for purpose' clause

...thanks for the thread/info :smt002

Now, I know this is an old thread but is there any chance someone could repost the diagram of the reflector pattern? Mine's a 2010 bike and there appears to be a bit of black tape on the headlight which makes me think I've still got a Euro headlight...

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock
