LED Flasher Relay

Hi All - I know this has been done to death but I can't find the answer on any of the old threads.
I'm gonna fit some LED indicators, probably from HeinGerricke. I remember some saying they have had to fit in-line resistors and some just fitted a new flasher relay.
Has anyone used the HG flasher relay (£9.99) and did it do the trick.
Thanks chaps.

Not tried the HG one, but TBH they're all likely to be much of a muchness.
I got one from an ebay shop can't check where from work and they suggest they will work just fine with up to two original bulbs, but no more. So it might be wrth checking if the unit is designed just for 4 LED's or a combinatin of LED's and bulbs, depending on your setup.

You may find that four LED bulbs won't work, even with a different flasher unit. There is a way around it though

I can't be more helpful at the moment, I've forgotten what value resistors I used to solve the problem.

Thanks chaps (no worries Nooj

) i will probably go with the HG relay, they say it will serve 4 indicators no problem, so we will see. If not I may need some advice about resistors. Electricary is not my area of expertise

I got a flasher unit off Ebay, (cant remember which tho), fer my flush-mount LEDs and it didnt work; Had to keep the rear two OE indys attached to the circuit but foam-wrapped em under the seat hump to maintain a regular flash!
So basically; What Pierre said!

Resistors..

Hi all,
I got my LED's like FM, fitted in-line resistors from demon bikes in ncle. Guess u could get em anywhere really. I have fully functioning LED's front + back with no lights under mu seat hump
Lttlcheeze, ur electrics should work ok with the resistors in place, as if there where normal bulbs they would use the same juice...unless u have a 20 inch plasma on ur dash 4 the long journeys
Warranty yerah rite!

But don't resisters make the bike send the same power to the turn signal and the resistor "sucks" up the extra power that the LED doesn't need. I like the look of the LED but I also like the idea of putting less strain on my already weak electrical system.
Does anyone know any way to put LEDs on all 4 corners and in the dash indicator with out the use of reisitors?
