Can I get a free headlight
After owning the falco for 2.5 years I have only just noticed that it has a euro headlight. D&K did not tell me this they just sold it me new (the falco that is). Now I have to get a headlight when I go for the first mot.
So the question is, can I nget the dealer to replace with a new headlight seems as they neglected to inform me it was an import.

You're not the first Paddy - can't remember who it was but someone else posted up about this recently.
TBH I'm not convinced my light pattern is correct - I must check it.
I think that a dealer that sold it in UK as a new bike is obliged to make sure it complies with UK regs. I would hope you would be able to get this changed by them.

I brought mine from DK as well, and was bloody sure it wouldn't pass the mot but it did, no problem at all, i'd try getting the MOT done, and if it doesnt pass then you'll have some perfectly good ammunition to fire at DK, cause at the end of the day if it doesn't have an uk headlight then it's not been sold fit for purpose, which in my eyes means new headlight to be supplied by DK.

Keep yours for me in case TwinNut backs off on me (I've got UK one, will need EU one for next year). No pressure, TN!paddyz1 wrote:Can I get a free headlight

It has been down the road. Most of the lugs snapped when I had my off at Cadwell last year. I plastic welded them back together with a soldering iron and some plastic I got from breaking somthing else. It has been fine since (including some 150mph wind blastssabestian wrote:Keep yours for me in case TwinNut backs off on me (I've got UK one, will need EU one for next year). I imagine DK would say.
Fight for your right then!
Gio, he discovered that the headlight is in wrong specification AFTER and BECAUSE OF the attempt to repair it, don't you know? Actually, he could have crashed BECAUSE his vision was compromised by the wrong spec light... ;)
What's that smell?... Is someone baking a fresh lawsuit?

Exactly, It was a full 14 months later that I discovered the beam points the wrong way.sabestian wrote:Fight for your right then!
