Urgent help needed - spacer lost.

Hallo everyone, I was preparing the bike for my track day next week and after putting the rear wheel back on my bike I noticed that I've lost a spacer that should go between the bearing and the swinger on the sprocket side (no 8 on this sheet).
Has anyone got a spare one? I rang couple of Aprilia dealers and they say it's gonna be at least two week waiting time... For a 6 quid part... I'm going to shoot myself if I don't have my bike ready for next Tue... Please help unless you want to have my blood on your hands!

Sorry Sab - can't help you.
Unless someone's got one, I guess it's a case of keeping ringing those dealers.
Fausto posted up that he'd had good experience with
InMoto and
Speedaway carry a reasonable stock too.
I guess you've tried
Aprilia Yorkshire as I presume that's where you copied the parts diagram from.
The number of times people post up about missing wheel spacers - I think they're special ones designed to hide the moment your back's turned.
Perhaps we should get a stock of the various wheel spacers and hold them on the forum - that'll probably guarantee that nobody loses one ever again!
..... don't suppose anyone works in a machine shop or has easy access to one that could run up a small stock of spacers for the front and rear wheels?
Just a thought.

Are these the same as the ones on a Mille? If so get yer butt on Motofourm and ask on there. Plenty of Aprilia racers there, guaranteed one of 'em has a spare bit, swapping WOW and Dry tyres around all the time, etc.

You on hols too? I was told my summer holiday this year would be working on the house - so that's my job this week. Really meant to be painting the outside ..... but just look at the weather! So plenty of odds and ends inside to do - but I'm being too 'supervised' to do much to the bike. better get back to it or it'll be noticed that I'm on the PC.... some holiday.

Ditto.
As a last resort you can have the one out of mine as it's not on the road at the mo.

I've found it!

It was stuck under some leaves in a ditch next to the place I had my tyre repaired yesterday. Cheers for all the offers and helpful links. I may need to use them next time I take the wheel off...
I'm not sure if I'm stupid or lucky... Both I guess.

Now if it was Friday, I'd say you're a freak
Instead you're one lucky bloke.
