Yes - a new 'Falco' is about to be launched based around a 1125cc, 146 BHP, 72degree, Rotax V-twin (with pneumatic slipper clutch). Showa suspension provided back and front.
...... thing is, this ISN'T an

BUELL
Despite our Aprilia brand-loyalty, I can see a number of us defecting when the time comes to change (maybe me included

)

Looks good, I like the under-slung exhausts and the swing-arm. Not a bad price either at £8500.
MCN have got a bit about it -

Better start saving

Looks interesting, all the specs look good but, and this is the biggy...
can you forget it's a Harley?
I know, I know, we're all bikers and all that but there's still some part of my soul that flinches at the idea.....

I see couple of issues here:
1. esthetics

(where are they exactly?

)
2. reliability (engine aside)
3. quality of finish (you'll be shocked if you haven't seen Buell from a close distance, especially when compared to Aprilia). And no, it's not superior...
I'll be heading back to nakeds when I finish with my Mutalco anyway (I guess I've always been a naked guy :D ).
Firestarter, what do you mean? There's nothing from those tractors there (apart from a belt drive, which is different to them anyway AFAIK). But it is American, and that's never a good thing ;)

Yes it is, but the new machine doesn't sport a tractor engine

No matter the background, the motor manufacturer is one we are all aware of and rate.
It's wedged into a great chasis, Buells turn better than most (might get a bit twitchy in a straight line, but where's the most fun to be had?).
Belt drives are supposed to be reliable, pretty much maintenance free and heklp smooth the drive out.
Not too keen on the rim brakes and the underbelly exhaust needs to change, keep it there but do something better looking (won't take the aftermarket boys long).
The plastic at the front (rads?) is nasty and the front fairing is a bit crap IMO.
Can't see me chopping in the Falco, but strip off the plastics add wide flat bars and straight through pipes and it could be a proper hooligan bike.

Firestarter, sorry for confusing you with Kenif (and "vise" versa). I'm using my mobile-combine-PDA thingy to read posts (inch per inch screen).

Yes, I need glasses but I'll never admit that
