Crash bungs/ bobbins

#1 Post by del_tl1000r » Sat Aug 12, 2023 11:38 am

Hi all. Does anyone know if crash bungs for another bike will fit, or can be modified to fit the Falco? Been trying to get the lower type that fit the frame. Don't really fancy cutting holes in the fairing for the top ones. Been in touch with R and G and they say they've discontinued them.

Can't help on that, I'm afraid. I believe that other makes are available, and there is the chance (slim I grant you) that someone will have old stock of R&G. Given that the Rotax V60 motors are the same externally for Mille, Futura and Caponord, you might find that bungs/bobbins for those bikes could fit. I mean, Falco owners regularly fit Mille wheels, shock, brake calipers and swingarms to Falcos, so there must be a high degree of commonality.

Yeah I"ll have a look at those. Even if the part that meets the frame is too large or the shoulder is off I have access to a lathe so modifying them wouldn't be an issue.

Excellent😀 Thanks for that. I've just messaged the seller to see if they have them. Anywhere I've ordered them from have mailed me back after placing the order to tell me they can't get them. The listing says there are 2 available so fingers crossed.

Failing the above, I have a plain (not metal body or markings) set that got with a job lot.
I believe they were advertised as for an RSV, that I'd be happy to let go.
But, I've not seen them for a while!
