Battery choice...

#1 Post by GregD-UK » Fri Mar 15, 2019 10:42 am

Hi all,

Long time no see, has anyone shoe-horned a YTX14H-BS into their battery tray at all :smt002 My YTX14AH-BS gave up the ghost today. None available round my neck of the woods, plus, I noticed the new one has 210cca, instead of 220cca which mine had when new. It only has 88cca when the guy in the battery place checked it :smt012

MBTX12U fits, just search on that auction site for a Motobatt Falco battery, they are a universal fitment, you can mount the terminals on the front or back of the battery, all four corners are threaded for terminals, comes with a spacer plate to fit underneath the unit to make it the right height .
Yes, you may find others with a bit more CCA but I can testify you will get a good few years from one of these, they work, simples :smt002

I've had two Motobatts - one lasted over 5 years and even started my KTM on the electric hoof after 18 months under a tarp in the garden. The other - later one - lasted less than a year on the GSXR ..
