Basically I’ve dropped a bollock! Bought some nice flashy Hell hoses for my falcuono conversion ( I know it’s frowned upon ) but it turns out they aren’t the right ones for my callipers . My ones have the banjo bolt on top and the others that hose fit are at the side. I’ll attach some pics, do I buy more hoses or swap callipers ( always assuming the mounting bolt spacing is the same? )

Other type:-

Top ones are 2-pad callipers as fitted to Falco and early Mille.
Bottom ones ate 4-pad callipers as filled to later mille (pre-radial) .... and retrofitted by some of us on our Falcos.

Cheers D rider, any noticeable improvement with the later brakes?

It was a while back I changed them and also fitted a radial master cylinder at the same time. From what I remember, there was more braking power (not that the standard setup was lacking) but there was also more "feel"

My Futura has the same brakes as the Falco originals (but smaller rotors). I think it confirms my recollection.

Not a vital mod by any means.

One of my Falcos has the standard setup and the other has the 4-pad calipers with an Accossato radial master cylinder.

The 4-pad setup is certainly superior in terms of feel and requiring less effort.

As DR said the standard setup is sufficient but if I prefer the extra feel in tricky conditions or on crap roads.

So you kept the trick one then Mr Spider !

I'm going to make a best of both, though this may mean swapping the frames.

I agree - really like the extra bite and feel of the 4 pad calipers.

I've got a set of those to put on my Falcuono - yes I am proud of it! - but having had the experience of the foot-mashing stoppie power of the Falc's original calipers I'm wondering whether I really need to fit them ...

Think I have a spare pair of gold 4-pad calipers if you want to change them out.
