Two weeks in progress report.

Hi all.
I've been dodging the weather and family and friends commitments (the usual), but I've managed to put a good few hundred miles in. As mentioned, I've had carby fireblades since 2001, probably the epitome of reliable speed at 125cc prices. So I approached the Falco as a learning curve, toe in the water V twin 'experience'. Given that these are eye-wateringly cheap to buy I approached it as being no great loss if we didn't gel.
So, what do you get for £1K? First, I do have to say that this was a one, fastidious owner Falco. All the right mods, Mille rear shock, braided brake lines, full service history, nothing else molested.
What a stunning bargain!
I have had to realign my riding methods. The 'blade starts to sing round about 4K rpm, building power as the revs increase. Wack it open and you have a few milliseconds to change your mind! Not so with the Falco!! Open throttle, go like stink! Handling is a little on the slow side, I'll get under her and raise the ride height a lot of tads, checking the linkages while I'm there.
Only cost has been a new battery, owner quite open about it probably needing one, bike was in too good condition to quibble.
In the process of modding a spare grab rail to mount a Givi rack, spending more on polish than bits. Well pleased, to say the least!
Only one last thought. Just how many ARE left up and running, seems to be a very exclusive club, this one!
(Can't seem to see how to add a picture. Is there a restriction on new posters?)
