Saved another

#1 Post by blinkey501 » Sun Jun 18, 2017 5:39 pm

I must have it bad.

Some of you will have seen on fb that someone was going to break a tidy falco because the starter was broken?

I was pacing up and down my living room trying to negotiate a price for this bike, and the deal was done.

People don't realise the exclusivity of these bikes.

Another has been broken because the fairing and headlight was broken in a slow crash.

He wanted 750 for the bike, but unfortunately had already stripped the bike already. What an idiot.

200 quid would have repaired it!!!!!

Why oh why do I get so eaten up about these bikes.

Maybe they don't want one?
TBO they will never be a classic/vintage/whatever, and much as they are nice thats it, they will never win a concours as they aren't that well built from the factory. Just enjoy what you have and let the rest ride off to the scrapyard in the sky.

Sorry - I call bollocks on that. The build quality is at least as good as anything from that era, Honda included. And as there were only ever a small number made (unlike Hondas), that pushes up the rarity value. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'd say they are a far more complete design than, say, a Blackbird or any of the post mid-90s Hondas.

Sorry Gio - utter tosh !

They are very well put together.

Just overlooked and unappreciated.

I'm sorry you don't agree with me :smt002 as for as well built , sorry they're not and panel fit is dire the gaps in the plastics are all over the shop, its only when you change everything they start to look great. After my bike had gone down the road and |I had to get new panels the painter even said theyre not even made all with the same plastic and they don't just get scratched they burst apart on a trip up the blackstuff on their side.
Yes I do like them, but there's always something going wrong be it minor or just an irritant.
