After a few years of being sat in the garage doing nothing I have finally had my Falco out for a couple of shake down tests. It's running an RSV engine/chip/throttle bodies. Goes very well and certainly pulls hard but I did notice that at low revs (<3K) it seems very snatchy and is difficult to ride at low speed because of this. Just a V-Twin thing I thought but I also have a Ducati 748S now so took that out and it's completely different. happy down to just over tick-over without the jerkiness I am getting from the Falco.

Checked chain condition and tension on both and that seems OK - if anything the Duke was a little slack. I have checked the valve clearances on the Falco and 2 were right on the lower limit. My suspicions is with the throttle body synchronisation but I thought I'd ask here for any other suggestions.

More than likely a tuning issue but make sure both A and B throttle cables are operating smoothly

Have you had the CO settings checked recently, especially if you've changed the exhausts? I had Griff Woolley at Aprilia Performance check mine out late last year, as the bike was getting really snatchy and unpleasant at low rpm, and Griff's fettling has made a massive improvement. Apparently my setiing was miles out and it's not uncommon.

I found the bike was particularly hard to manage on slow, twisty, nadgery roads where you were constantly on and off the throttle and also in town. It's much better now.

Basic tune up as others suggested but I did find a significant improvement in low end smoothness when I cited the Gabro chip.

I fitted a 15t front sprocket yesterday and it seems to have made a considerable improvement in low-speed riding.

The engine seems much happier right across the rev range and much more rideable at slower speeds.
I thinks that's it for mods (ohlins shock, cans, Forza chip and 15t sprocket), got her riding just the way I want for now and absolutely delighted

Edit- Just wanted to add that the Forza chip improved the power delivery but the gearing always seemed much too high until I changed the sprocket. If I was on a budget and knew then what I know now I'd probably have changed the sprocket first and seen how it went.
