Clutch fluid - black

Had my MOT done today and it passed as usual, the only thing the tester mentioned was the colour of the clutch fluid and suggested that I have it changed.
I seem to remember from a few years ago this was mentioned on this site and someone replied that it was normal for this to happen on Falco's \ Aprilia's.
Can anybody confirm this or do I need to change it out again.

It's normal - you can completely replace the fluid and it'll be black within a week or two.
I've changed my clutch slave cylinder for an MPL one, my master cylinder for a radial one and my clutch lines for Hel braided ones (and the clutch fluid many times too). It still goes black.
BTW I didn't change all that stuff because of the colour of the fluid.

thanks D, I thought I remembered correctly, the fluid has always been that colour except for a few weeks when I changed my slave also.

This used to worry me a great deal, thinking that seals must be breaking down, the system is full of crap ect.
As mentioned, recently changed fluid looks a million years old in no time at all.
Maybe this is something to do with the boot on the resevior/constant contact with fluid ?

It's the Aprilia Goth Fairies. They can't abide the sight of nice golden coloured clutch fluid and turn it black as soon as they see new fluid in the reservoir. Sometimes if you sneak up on them very quietly you can just catch them singing 'This Corrosion'...

To the tune of 'My Sharona'?

Never thought of it like that.. There is a certain amount of (ahem) similarity...
