As some of you know and some of you already have one of the tanks I make. Now I am open to anyone letting me know if you want a full carbon fuel tank to avoid the swollen tank issues.

They are not cheap I know but as I am 10 in by now I know they work and will cure the ethanol attacking the plastic tank issues.

I maybe in the market for one of your beautiful looking tanks. Found a leak on mine today. Leaking at the base where the plate joins the tank. It appears the base plate has separated from the main body of the tank. Don't know if it is repairable but if not then a new tank will be the only way.

How long does it take to fabricate from placing an order?

I've just gone a little moist looking at those ...


Sadly having just coughed 25% of my bike's purchase cost on a shock, it's unlikely that I'll shell out 99% on a fuel tank.

Sorry.. I missed this.. I usually look on the carbon post on the other page.

So I may be too late.. But for anyone asking how long it takes.

To make the tank is 10 days and it should be lacquered in that time.. BUT I had a problem with the previous painter so he say one some for weeks then one was 3 months. So I have found a new painter who has said 3 days. But I still have to give him as much notice as possible, but I should be able to get a definate timescale when an order is placed. These guys do some expensive cars so doing the lacquer on a tank would be easy to fit in if I give them a weeks notice that it will be with them.

..... ah that'll be the page that was only open to those of us that had the first batch to discuss things as they progressed.

Nope.. But as most of the comments were there I forgot to come here and have a look to see if anyone else has posted up....
