Does anyone have a fleabay link to the best alternative (japanese) starter relay?

i got mine from griff (aprilla performance)
its been fine for about 5 years

Think this is the one I got about 4 years ago, 150amp.

mine is a 150 amp one, the fitting list starts at 125 Atlantic and many other models but not falco, oddly.
All wiring fits , leads are a bit longer than the original one but works with no head ache or mods

I looked at that one but thought the consensus was to get one from a Yamaha or Honda. But for £12 I don't suppose I can go wrong. Thanks

I bought one from Scooter Assassins when my original failed.
No problems with that one - been on there for years.

I have just got this one its in the post , I am on doing the wire mods too whilst the cowl is off
My bike once or twice whilst warm would hardly crank try again perfect ?

Mine does the exact same! I replaced my Solenoid with a 100amp one, put on a Moto batt battery as they are quite good, but mine still does this (no crank) when warm, usually just after I've refuelled, passers by walk past and look as if to say "yer bikes goosed" thumb her again and she springs into life.
I read somewhere it could be an earth problem around the starter, I'm sure there were threads on here about possible solutions. Perhaps the contacts around the starter needs cleaned? Or the starter itself needs a spring clean inside, I'm going to check mine. The 150 relay will definitely crank her faster but I'm convinced there's more to it.

I had a 200 mile + trip last weekend 30 ml from home refuel press the starter and it hardly cranks , I am thinking its a long way to push when it fires up
I know the battery is good ( new and the larger amp one ) press the volt display on dash to find if I use the lights it robs the battery charge therefore I now ride off on a misty morning without lights in order to recharge the battery ASAP , I wanted breaky on the way but feared it would not recrank if I stopped hence went hungry that morning . Needless to say it was fine over the next two days . It's done this before so I also need to find out why !
The wire mod now shows 14.1 on the dash at tick over up from 13.5 and same improvement with lights on The figures may not be right ( being dash ) but they have at least moved the right way ( UP )

Lol not good going hungry over the bike :) I've not done the wiring mod yet I think I'll need to get it done! I wired in a phone charger a few years ago just to use while I touring around Scotland and charging the phone while riding had flattened the bike battery enough to really put me off charging the phone off the bike. Maybe the wire mod would improve this, I do now have a satnav hard wired in but that didn't seem to affect her last year.

2 mods for me to look into now, the wiring mod and possible tuono top yoke conversion to remove my heli bars. :) just need to find a broken upper fairing to modify as I'm not butchering mine :) but I'll keep that topic for another thread.

I think my next mod may be some sort of led at the front as it will be bright enough for me to be seen yet should use a lot less charge than running with the headlight on
I quite like the helibars but last year had hand trouble going numb , I did take heed on posture and core strength as recommended here but I also fitted some extra heavy bar ends because the helibars do not use the internal aprillia damper , so far I f,ind them quite good but often wonder if the std screen will put more air to the chest at a lower speed
The one fitted appears to direct the air straight into my helmet and boy this new one is very noisy even with 35db plugs. I do like the semi sports stance and think it's a good compamise

While fiddling with the start relay to help starting, also check the cable & connection at the starter motor, mine used to be slow to start when I first got it, clean the connection & new end on the cable will go along way to ensuring the eletricity gets to where it needs to in a good state to start these things.
