The GEN 1 Mille and Tuono forks drop straight in unless you get the ohlins from the R version .... then you need the yokes as well

Thanks Pals
As I'm putting mille forks on ,what would you recommend as oil and spring rates.
Some say do not go higher than a 5w oil ?????? and do you put the original falco spring rate in

As far as I'm aware the Showa forks fitted to Falcos and RSV Milles are identical. No need to change anything, although it would make sense to change the fork oil while they're off the bike. 5 wt oil is standard and recommended. Going heavier will make the damping action stiffer in both compression and rebound, which is probably not what you want. New oil will return damping action to as new (or close).

Yep, all the same (the Marzochi also fit: I have em on my Falco).
I decided to try 7.5w fork oil and regretted it as soon as I rode it: Waaaaay to firm fer my featherweight! lol
Will be putting 5w oil in before winter is properly here...
