Hello Folks,

Ive just fitted a new regulator rectifier, The latest shindengen FH020AA, It come with nice fittings direct to rectifier and the loose ends i hard wired and soldered direct no connectors, The smaller wires that was from the loom the white connector ones I've fitted the negative ones direct to battery and the positive ones I've connected just behind the new fuse box, Alright on another forum it says to splice into new wires but i just lengthened the originals and fitted direct rather than splice into new wires if you know what i mean, Anyway all done but it doesn't show anymore than 12 volts or there about, If the battery was knackered would this happen or would it still show a rise in volts even with a knackered battery..I am baffled..best wishes Tommo

Hello again, I've just been out to the bike and guess what, Ive got to admit to this, What a complete plonker, I had not fully clicked in the 3 wire connector, I've given it a good push a nice loud click, JOBS A GUD UN..fully up to maximum charging capacity...thank god

I love easy fixes like that, even if you have to admit to have been being a fuckwit

Doing that oil change on the car, slowly pouring the new oil in, slowly seeing the new oil run all over the floor as you slowly realize you are looking at the sump plug still sat there on top of the battery......

lol i know what you mean mate, I was scratching my bloody head and just could not work it out, I just thought the battery must be knackered.
