Front brake reservoir cap

My cap is corroding bad. the paint is bubbling from underneath and with a bit of a scratch, it just flakes off and has a white powdery residue underneath.

Took the cap off, took seal out, and the paint on the inside has all but turned to a sticky gel, like its been treated with paint remover. Presume this is just the effects of brake fluid....

Anyway, I want a new cap. Seen some gold ones on ebay, but I am not into bling.

Anyone got one lying about, in good nick that they can sell? or anyone found one on-line that's black and about a tenner? The Oberon ones are a bit pricey.

Does the cap off a mille/tuono fit i.e. do tthey use the same front reservoir?

Ta.

Took mine off, stripped it back to the metal and repainted it. It's been fine ever since.

Rattle can of black paint and then rattle can of lacquer that is resistant to the various nasties.

i replaced mine earlier on this year with a set of anodised caps, think they cost me £20 for the set. They weren't oberon though.

The reservoir is the same as many other ducati models, might make the search a bit easier?

If a silver one will do, there is one for a tenner:

Thought about that already and had checked my paint supplies in the shed.

Out of stripper, black and lacquer so would need to restock which will cost me more than a new aluminium lid.

See a silver Factory Racing one on ebay through Motopike for a tenner but really wanted black..

Yeah, I've seen those sets x 3 caps which look good, but cant find black, only gold!
