I am a lucky Falco owner...
...because my bike has not just one Neutral but two! An extra one for free!
Its between 5th and 6th and I seem to select it every time I upshift and now sometimes on the bleeding downshift too.
The resulting over-rev noise and lack of forward progress is a site to behold! (behear?)
Thinking about it though, maybe I still have one neutral and its just moved up in the world from between 1st and 2nd to between 5th and 6th, as most of the time I'm also have sods-own job of finding it in the location where it used to be ....

false neutral
Hi all,
I was getting false neutrals when going up from 3 to 4 and 5 to 6 when accelerating hard. Kinda scary at first, you suppose to engage clutch coast to a stop, then select a gear. As wacking it in as the gears spin at ridiculous speeds can cause serious damage if you try to engage it again.
my action was to use the gp shift. Fitted a tuono gear arm. So, now it isn't a slow, or sloppy gear change. Down to not engaging gear crisp, or with purpose....

My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!
Thinking about this issue i have had it happen to me every now and again.
I'm pretty sure its down to the slightly bent gear change rod that i have. If i put it in to gear a bit soft, sometimes it will slip out.
Hopefully, if i ever get to the stage where i can afford a set of AP rearsets, they will solve the problem!

I've noticed I have some play in the lever / pivot / linkage which I don't think helps.
Have done a recent oil and filter change and I know that can cause some issues, but I used 10w 40 semi synth Putoline so that should be ok...?
Have taken to pre-loading the gear lever with my foot before changing up.
