If so could you post a pic please ?
I'm sure my bus a stand, when down, is leaning way too far forward,the foot of the stand never sat flat on the floor but someone pointed it out at work today and the stand looks at the 25/20 to position.
Think there may be some bracket wear going on so a comparison would be much handy thanks

Someone might have been at the bracket. A previous owner had bent mine in a half arsed bodge to make it lean more. Didn't notice until I put a better stand on.

Thanks Squid, should have worded that a bit better, the busa stand has been fitted for a few years, I'm worried that its eating away at the bracket.
I was not the best choice to start with, I was looking for a comparator to measure wear rate/own paranoia.

I used to have what I thought was a GSXR 1000 stand, but is more likely to have been a 'busa stand, fitted to the red Falco. It was a definite improvement to the OE PoS, but did sit a bit far forward in the down position, and leaned a long way out as well.

This made it a lot more stable than the OE stand, but the bike also leant over further than I really wanted with that stand, especially when the ground sloped away from the LH side of the bike.

My old stand wasn't a tubular jobbie, it was a cast item; plenty strong, but I've since replaced it with a Honda Blackbird (CBR1100XX) stand, which I reckon is the best of the lot. Plenty of them about for not much money, as well. All they need is a hole drilling in a different place for the sidestand switch pin and you're good to go.

I've a Gixer stand on mine. I guess it depends on whether the mod was carried out sufficiently to let it align in a natural position. It does need a blob of weld by the stop on the stand (at the bracket end) to stop it going too far forward. If that wasn't done, then it probably doesn't sit in quite the right place.

Mango, what year CBR1100XX stand did you fit?

Get a blinkboo special you know it makes sense !

I would get a Blinkster stand but the original stand ended up in the AP scrap pile when the Busa one was fitted.
Mango, the Busa item is a long cast jobbie with a rectangular foot which does not sit flat on the floor.
Would like to know what year model the Blackbird stand you have is ...?

As far as I know there has been no change of sidestand in the Blackbird model run, so you have plenty to go at.

have a busa stand on mine, I only used the leg & kept the falco bracket, dab of weld inside the 'U' so it didn't come too far forward when in the down position & works a treat.
Think maybe the 'U' on yours needs a dab as well to stop it coming too far round. Bung a nut in there loose to see what I mean before you weld.
Maybe I am lucky but the foot on mine has always been flat to the floor, perfect I think as the leg is longer and the angle means the foot is further away from the bike, but the bike is at a good angle to be stable in all situations.

I had to something similar to another bike but I've got no welding gear, so -
I drilled and tapped the side of the stand and stuck a small bolt in so the head became an adjustable stop. Worked fine.
