I've recently been tarting up my falco, replacing the corroded fasteners with stainless and titanium as I go. So far I have done all caliper joining bolts, fairing and screen bolts, footrest hanger bolts and exhaust mounts in stainless along with other odds and sods, and caliper mounts and spindle adjusters in Ti. What's now really letting it down is the engine covers, they are the OEM bolts and have become dull and a bit tarnished, I'd like to replace them with stainless for mainly cosmetic reasons but also for corrosion resistance. I have seen some for later ('03-'08) RSVs on eBay that I guess might fit but I'm sure the forum elders will probably know what sizes I would need so that I can just buy the bolts by size rather than on kit form.

So, any advice on either if the advertised kit would work, or on what sizes I might need would be much appreciated. Thanks

Sorry - never replaced these things myself.

Make sure you use copper slip on them all or they'll bind into the aluminium

.... or loctite where appropriate. That'll hold them but also prevent the reaction between the metals.

I have a list of the bolts before I got the probolt kit for a very good price. I'lltype it up tomorrow.
