Spraying the tank

Is it a major pain to get the tank off and on for respraying??
Not really.
The front tank mount comes off easily, the rear is just a bolt to the tank bracket, then there is the fuel lines and overflow pipes.
Removing the fuel pump is probably the most complicated part, while you are there, it would be worth replacing all the internal fuel lines and the fuel filter.
Very well documented in the service manual.
