The innards?

Would somebody be able to put a quick guide up of what is required to put the necessary innards into the carbon tanks. What can be salvaged from existing parts and what would be worth / require replacing?

I don't seem to have an issues with venting on mine.

Yep - I covered this a bit in the thread on the main forum before we moved the discussion over here.

The main things to move over are:
  • * The front tank mount (not an internal item)
    * The filler cap and associated gubbins
    * The fuel pump and filter assembly
Additionally, it's a good opportunity to replace the main fuel lines adding QR connectors to both lines (external to the tank) and the breathers and overflows (though they are probably a little less vital).

Most bits can just be taken from your current tank but it's a good opportunity to replace seals, the fuel filter and the pipework .... especially as a lot of these things will have been degraded by age and ethanol.

The various parts can be found from these links: Quite a lot of these parts are expensive so I was wondering whether we could find somewhere to make up seal kits for us at a better price - which may also be of interest to those not changing their tanks.
That requires someone to find where these could be sourced from .... so this may not happen unless we have some contacts.

The fuel filter is not so difficult - the AF1 forum identified the FRAM Part Number G4777 filter as a suitable replacement - and that does seem to be ethanol resistant .... and available at a good price.

So, yes, we do need to sort all of this out .... please, everyone, contribute what you can on this thread to move it along.
