Cleaned the bike the other day and found 3 small paint bubbles on the tank , what's that about then .

Might be related to the tank expanding, do a search for it.
The lacquer has flaked off on a portion of mine, I'm guessing for the same reason.

Not just the falco.

Mille's with the plastic tank.

Some off road bikes.

Ducatti tanks suffer too. If you can't lower your tank past the headstock that is why.

Super unleaded has less ethanol content and is better for our bikes. I use shell v power when i can.

And, depending on materials, other parts of fuel systems - carburettor components, fuel lines, o-rings - there've been, for example, a number of instances of early K-series BMWs going up in flames due to ethanol rotting the injector o-rings.

Well you could-

Baglux tank cover
Stomp grip or venture shield or a tank pad depending where it is
get it resprayed
ignore it - I chose this option

Going to get a quote on a respray should be easy to do being gloss black and not to much hopefully .
