Whilst poking around looking for the temp sender on the front cylinder i noticed this. When i poked it with my digit it moves. What is it and should it be screwed in tight?

I think it looks like you have a loose injector.

By the looks of the surrounding items, it appears you may have a gasket/O-ring leak. Fuel feeds into the injector from above and if you do have too much movement, it is either the "gasket set" (#7 in the pic) as it is called on the parts fiche or the retainer/fuel feed is indeed loose and needs nipping up.

And pull the air box! So you can get to things. :smt083

The injector is held captive in position by the banjo bolt and the small hex socket headed fastener next to it, that hold the funny shaped bock in place, no 2 in the diag

well i whipped the airbox off today to check the injectors and it turned out i was being paranoid as they both rotate a bit when wobbled so i'm happy thats how they are supposed to be. Whilst i had it in bits i had a look at the front temp sender. How for the love of Pete are you supposed to get that bad boy out to replace it???? Even with hands the size of Jeremy beadles you wouldn't be able to get in to undo it. Am i missing a trick here? :smt017
